We advertise boot sizes as they are notated by the manufacturer. Boot sizing is not universal and if we can provide more meaningful information about true boot fit, this extra information will be provided in the listing. Most ski boot companies only change the insole thickness (shell and liner are the same) for half size boots. Here's a few helpful links with more info on ski boot sizing (some of this info may be dated): http://shoes.about.com/od/fitcomfort/ss/measurefeet.htm http://www.imagehostplus.com/sites/2374/fischerbootsinfo.jpg http://www.imagehostplus.com/sites/2374/langechart.jpg http://www.imagehostplus.com/sites/2374/wcsolelength.jpg

Here's our boot fitting tips:
Thanks for your email.
Here's some helpful information about successfully fitting your ski boots.
These suggestions have been prepared after many long discussions with one of the top ski boot fitters in the U.S.
After an unsuccessful first attempt at trying on boots, these tips have helped many other online boot buyers achieve a comfortable fit (and save roundtrip shipping fees).
We are willing to extend the return policy period, so please take a few days to try these tips.
Try on your boots using these steps:
1) Remove any wadded up paper from the inside of the liners. CAREFULLY preheat the boots by setting them near a space heater or hair dryer. then put on a clean pair of lightweight socks, undo the boot buckles fully, pull the sides at the front of the boot apart and push the tongue forward, and step into the boots.
2) Slam the back of your heel down on the floor a couple times to push your foot back into the heel cup of the ski boot.
3) Realign the tongue and tighten the 2nd buckle from the top and flex against the front of the boots. Then buckle the top buckle and the strap. Next buckle the bottom buckles. Do not buckle too tightly. Use the micro adjust (turnbuckle) design or remount the catch to get the correct buckle tightness.
4) Walk around a little bit and then lean against the front of the boots (like you would when skiing).
If the boots are TIGHT:
1) Wear a thinner sock (Most skiers today use a lightweight ski sock. Never wear 2 socks when skiing)
2) Replace the insole with a thinner insole with more arch support (you may try a pair from a different pair of shoes you currently own or purchase new from walmart or a drug store or you may purchase a special thinner insole with more arch support, a Superfit insole for example, from a running shoe store). This will keep the foot supported and not allow it to flatten out which widens and lengthens the foot and makes your boots fit tighter.
3) Some boots have a screwed in or velcro on spoiler that goes between the back of the liner and the shell. These can be removed to allow more room around your lower legs.
4) Place a heel lift under the insole. You may make a homemade "varus wedge" by purchasing a heel lift preferably with a leather top material and a foam base (available at walmart, a drug store, or a shoe store) and cutting away some of the foam from the bottom outside of the heel lift. This will raise the heel slightly and also offer support and lift to the inside (big toe) side of the foot. This also will keep the foot from flattening (lengthening and widening) and while raising the heel can move the toes back from the front of the boot just slightly.
5) If the fit is still a little snug, this may equate to the perfect fit after a few days skiing in the boots. A little discomfort during this break-in period is customary.
You may thermo-mold the liners to your feet while skiing in the boots or
you may home thermo-mold the liners prior to skiing in the boots.
Thermo fitting heat moldable liners will further relieve pressure points and is a great way to get a better fit from your boots.
However, you may not return boots that have been thermo molded to your feet.
Remove the liners from the boots and use a hair dryer to blow hot air into a liner. Do not place the hair dryer in the boots as this may burn the liners and/or burn out the hair dryer. Move the hair dryer around every few minutes so it's not heating one specific point in the boots. heat the liner for about 10 minutes. Place the liner back into the shell and as a last step, hold the hair dryer into the boots for about 20 seconds. Then put on the boots using steps 1-3 above. Repeat with the other liner. Buckle the top buckles snug and keep the boots on for at least 15 minutes.
6) Have the boots custom fit at a boot shop. Boot fit specialists employ a variety of tricks to modify flex and fit. They may suggest custom insoles, shop thermo-molding of the liners, and shell and liner modification.
If the boots are LOOSE:
1) Use a mid to heavy weight ski sock.
2) Use a thicker insole or place a flat insole insert (or cut out some cardboard--called a home-made bontech shim) and position under the insole.
3) purchase some 1/8" (or 1/4") foam and cut it into 1"x3" strips. glue or tape one on each side of the inside of the liner where it wraps over the tongue. This will help snug your heel into the heelcup.
4) If the fit is still a little loose, you may home thermo-mold the liners prior to skiing in the boots. See above.
5) Custom fitting at a boot shop. See above.
We state the ski length, ski width, ski type, and target skier in the listing. If we can provide any further meaningful information about ski sizing, this extra information will be provided in the listing. No. Bindings do not come pre-mounted and we do not mount bindings. At most ski shops traditional mounting on flat skis (those without plates pre-drilled for specific bindings) is typically around $30. The ski shop will have a “jig” that allows them to drill the correct hole pattern for a specific model binding. If they don’t have the jig for that binding, they will usually mount the bindings using a “freehand” method. Some shops may charge less for this service if you are mounting the bindings into pre-drilled mounting plates which come fixed on many skis. Bindings mount service typically includes mounting the bindings to the skis, setting the bindings to your boots, and adjusting the release (din/spring tension) to your specifications based on height, weight, and ability level. You will need your skis, boots, and bindings. It is not suggested to mount any ski bindings at home, however, some people may mount bindings into pre-drilled mounting plates. If you choose to do this, follow the instructions included with the ski bindings and on the skis’ mounting plate and then take the skis to a shop for bindings adjustment and testing. This less costly service usually includes setting the bindings to your boots, adjusting your din release, and testing the bindings. You may also want to ask them to make sure the screws are tightened down the correct amount before they perform this service. This service usually costs less than $15 (and with a much faster turnaround time, some shops will do this while you wait).

Yes all items include the manufacturers warranty. We only sell 1st quality gear that is the same in every way to gear available for purchase at reputable ski and snowboard shops. Accordingly we seldom have warranty issues that need serviced. When necessary, we are glad to give warranty assistance. We are authorized dealers for most items we sell and having connections in the warranty depts has made warranty repair or replacement go smoothly. When there is a manufacturers defect on an item we are not an authorized dealer for, we handle the warranty replacement in house.

When your prices are already at rock bottom there is no further lowering possible. Our prices are set below those of our competitors. If you see the same item available from another seller at a lower delivered price, please let us know.

Many customers are amazed at our prices. Yes our prices are for real and all items are 1st quality with full warranty and the same in every way to those items sold in retail stores. Here's how Snow Deals Now can bring you the lowest prices on winter gear: --We search the planet for the best deals in top quality gear. After our receiving dept negotiates the most aggressive pricing on huge lots of ski and snowboard gear, it hits our warehouse in semi trucks and shipping containers. --We sell at a very high volume and to keep our inventory current, we often have to be very aggressive with our pricing or we have stock that must carryover another year. --Selling over 60,000 winter items online since 1999 has allowed us to innovate a streamlined process. We are confident our overhead (time/cost) is the lowest in the industry. --Repeat customers. Low prices on quality gear keep our customers coming back for more. --We are not greedy!!! We love making skiing and snowboarding more enjoyable and accessible for so many people.
The reason is because color, size, model year, and other factors that may not effect the value of items in the retail venue GREATLY effect the value of items in the non-retail venue. Supply and demand is very much at play in determining the final selling price of seemingly similar items.
We raise and lower our prices as necessary for optimal inventory management. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time.
